Summer School Invitation

The 8th Warsaw Conference on Perspectives of Molecular Oncology is a part of a series of annual meetings organized by Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology in Warsaw since 2015.

Around 100 participants will attend in-person and others will participate on-line.

The main goal is to bring together cancer researchers, clinicians, pathologists and molecular diagnosticians to inspire and build knowledge, establish collaborative studies and form international ties.

The first day of conference will be dedicated for Perspectives on Kinases in Oncology. It will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on kinases, kinase inhibitors and how to optimize patient outcomes through discovery, translation and clinical research.

Session 1 will focus on the molecular oncology of kinases – how kinase mutations drive the hallmarks of cancer, understanding kinase function through structural and cell biology, and the hot topic of biomolecular compartments and phase separation in kinase signaling.

Session 2 will focus on clinical aspects of kinase inhibitors including success and limitations in lung cancer and leukemia.

Session 3 will focus on kinase drug discovery using small molecules, macromolecules and peptidomimetics.

There will be a panel discussion to provide a perspective on the future directions of kinase research in the lab and clinic.

Additionally, at 5th and 6th of September the MSCNRIO Summer School of drug discovery in oncology (05.09 – 08.09 .2023) will be organized for PhD students – the number of participants is limited.
